Hand crafted Teddy bears of different sizes and a myriad of materials.
The bears pictured in this hug are currently for sale on Etsy. From left to right, starting at the bottom row is Penny a crochet bear, Foster a Mohair bear, Griz sits upon his lap, then Bixbie a knitted bear. Behind them are Griffin, Cheedle, Mimi and Winston all made of various faux furs and felts. None of the bears above are child safe. They were meant for adult collectors.
I've made a couple of new Teddies. They were made from a nice piece of shaggy felt that was made to resemble distressed mohair. The big fellow on the left is Doc. He's about sixteen inches tall. Doc was specially made for my mother's friend Herb who was ill recently. He is fully jointed, head and limbs. His nose and paws have been hand embroidered. He is a cutie.
When I finished cutting out Doc I had a bit of fabric left over so I decided to make a second bear, a smaller one. Zimmy is about ten inches tall. Like Doc he is fully jointed and hand embroidered.

Don't they look cute posing together. Doc will soon be one his way to join Herb. Zimmy will hang out at my house until I can find a nice person to adopt him.

Meet Herb. He's a very big bear at about 24 inches tall when standing. He is named Herb after the gentleman he was created for as a Christmas gift. Herb works as a greeter at Wal-Mart. I made him a little bolo tie with a happy face on it. I also made little Herb a vest just like big Herb wears. Herb has button jointed arms and legs. An embroidered nose, paw lines and eyebrows. Herb has a little wisp of white hair on his forehead, after all, he is a Senior bear.
Here is Billy-Jean the blue jean teddy bear. She is a one of a kind bear with jointed arms, legs and head. The rose over her ear is sewn there and will not come off. Wire edged ribbon adorns her neck in a pretty bow.

Here is a pair of bears made of felt fur in a cheery shade of red. The bear on the left is Jingle and he is roughly six inches tall. He is fully jointed, head, arms and legs. His nose and front paws are embroidered. The bear on the right is Ellie, she's the one with the lacey bow and she is about five and half inches tall. Her front and rear paws are felt. Both these bears were entirely hand sewn from ears to toes. Jingle currently resides in Florida with my Uncle.

And this is Rose, one of the tiniest teddy bears I have ever made. The quarter shows the scale as it is as big as her head. She was hand sewn out of plush felt. The lace, ribbon bows and rose are all sewn to her and will not come off. Tiny pastel seed beads make up her eyes. Rose is a fully jointed bear, even her head will swivel and turn. Her nose, mouth and claws were hand embroidered.
