This is Baby Kisses, she is a little fairy that I made for a Valentine's Day contest put on by the Kelly doll makeover Group I belong to. She didn't win but I'm pretty happy with the way she came out. Her face has been totally repainted to give her impish, side glancing eyes of brown.
She has streaks of bright pink in her hair. Her pink cotton dress was completely hand sewn. It is embellished with a gold holographic heart with a pink crackle bead. The straps of the dress are pink glass seed beads.
Her feet are wrapped in raspberry pink ribbons. Her pink wings were crafted from an almost sheer paper which was carefully printed with tiny pink lips. I like using paper for fairy wings. They're not as sheer as using laminating plastic but I think they allow for greater creativity as far as designing the wings goes.
